A few facts and figures…

A continued yearly increase of sight loss is estimated at 1.93 million people in 2013 is expected to double by 2050 due to changing lifestyles  and inactivity.

People with sight loss are less likely to be in work when compared to the overall UK population.

6% drop of people of working age in employment from 2009-2013.

Blind and partially sighted people are the lowest percentage of disabled people participating in regular sport or activities.

Only 17% of people experiencing sight loss are offered emotional support.

⅔ of people with sight loss are women.
